The 2016 Arendell Parrott Academy men's tennis team won all five of its matches on Saturday, February 20th at the Greene Central High School Men's Tennis Super Scrimmage Extravaganza #2. The Patriots did not lose a match in singles or doubles during the day. APA defeated Tarboro 3-0 in doubles, Northern Nash 6-0 in singles, Southeast Halifax 3-0 in doubles, Holly Springs 6-0 in singles, and Southern Nash 3-0 in doubles. "I was very pleased with the play of the entire team Saturday. We really played well in the final two matches of the day against strong 3-A and 4-A public school squads," said first-year head coach Donald Clark. The Patriots open the regular season on Thursday, March 3rd at Ephiphany.
